Life-Sized Dinosaurs Are Invading Hamble This Weekend and Kids Are Going to Lose Their Minds

The award-winning show that stunned Britain's Got Talent judges is rolling into Hamble Sports Complex for two days of prehistoric mayhem — and it's not just for the kids.

Dinosaurs Are Coming to Hamble — And They're Bigger Than You Think

Hamble Sports Complex is about to get a whole lot more prehistoric. Dinomania, the UK's most interactive dinosaur show, is setting up at the SO31 4NE venue this Saturday and Sunday — 10th and 11th October 2026 — for a roaring two-day run that families within driving distance really shouldn't sleep on.

This isn't your standard bloke in a rubber suit wobbling around a village hall. Dinomania has been recognised as the UK's most interactive dinosaur experience, and the credentials to back that up are genuinely impressive.

From Dragons' Den to Hamble's Back Garden

If the name rings a bell, that's because Dinomania has been everywhere. The show made it to the semi-finals of Britain's Got Talent in 2022, appeared on Blue Peter, and faced the Dragons in Dragons' Den. It's the kind of travelling experience that normally pitches up in big city venues — so having it land just down the road is a proper treat for local families.

Leading the adventure is Ranger Chris, the show's host, who guides visitors through a 90-minute live experience that promises to transport audiences millions of years back in time. That includes an interval, so even the littlest dinosaur fans can recharge before the next prehistoric encounter.

What's Actually In Store

The lineup is seriously stacked for a travelling show. Visitors can expect to come face-to-face with life-sized dinosaurs, baby dinosaurs, and what the organisers describe as adorably realistic creatures — the kind that make for unforgettable (and slightly terrifying) family photos.

Beyond the spectacle, there's genuine educational substance on offer. Interactive activities and fascinating dinosaur facts are woven throughout, and there's a mobile museum on site packed with fossils, replicas, and artefacts for the budding palaeontologists in the family.

The show is recommended for ages three and up, but is billed as suitable for all ages — which means parents and grandparents have full permission to be just as wide-eyed as the kids.

Why This Is Worth the Trip

For families in and around Cowplain, Waterlooville, and the wider Hampshire area, Hamble is a straightforward drive — and this is exactly the kind of quality day out that doesn't require a train to London or an eye-watering theme park entry fee.

Dinomania is the rare thing: an experience that actually delivers on its hype. The TV appearances aren't just marketing gloss — they reflect a show that has been tested in front of some of the toughest audiences around and come out roaring.

Tickets are on sale now, and given the show only runs across two days, availability won't hang around forever.

What Happens Next

Dinomania takes over Hamble Sports Complex this Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th October 2026. Each session runs for approximately 90 minutes including an interval. Tickets are available now — head to the Dinomania website to book before they sell out. If you've got a dinosaur-obsessed child in the house, consider this your sign.
